Jaipur, Sep 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will visit Barmer on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to address a public meeting in Bacchdau village, Barmer district, and also gift development projects worth approximately Rs 2,700 crore to eight districts of the Jodhpur division.
The administration has finalised all preparations, including the setup of a grand marquee (pandal). The officials, including Barmer Collector Chinmayi Gopal and SP Chunaram Jat, inspected the preparations on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister is visiting Barmer after about seven months; he had previously visited Gudamalani in February for the consecration ceremony of the Alamji Temple. He will announce various development projects for the eight districts of the Jodhpur division, including Barmer, Balotra, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Pali, Sirohi, and Phalodi. These comprise 1,013 development projects worth around Rs 2,700 crore, with approximately 1,000 of these projects located in the Barmer district alone.
Foundation stones will be laid for projects linked to budget announcements. Additionally, the Chief Minister will inaugurate completed works related to roads, water supply, electricity, and government buildings.
During the meeting at Bacchdau, he will unveil plaques for these projects virtually. As part of the Chief Minister's proposed visit, foundation stones will be laid for 16 Public Works Department (PWD) projects costing Rs 129 crore. The majority of these projects involve road construction.
The 16 projects include road widening from Sanavada to Dharmpura Mehlu (NH-68) costing Rs 21 crore; Bacchdau to Chauhtan via Leelsar (Rs 12 crore); Udasar to Nokhda (Rs 20 crore); NH-68 to Harchand ki Pyau via St. Paul School and NH-68 to Bhagwati Green Township (Rs 11 crore); NH-68 Baldev Nagar to the 'Yellow Water Tank' (Rs 3.50 crore); Shiv to Kotra (Rs 4 crore); and Kawas-Bhimda and Batadu-Undu (Rs 8.40 crore).
Bacchdau in Barmer district was selected for the Chief Minister's rally. A key reason for this choice is that Bacchdau serves as the central point for three Assembly constituencies.
Additionally, three newly created Panchayat Samitis are located within a radius of just 8-10 km from this village. The BJP aims to secure a massive majority and form its administration in the villages during the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections. To this end, a crowd of 12,000 people has been mobilised for the rally from several Assembly constituencies, including Chauhtan, Shiv, Barmer, Gudamalani, and Baytu.
As per the scheduled programme, the visit will begin with departure from Jaipur Airport at 10:30 a.m. The delegation is scheduled to arrive at Uttarlai Airport in Barmer at 11:30 a.m. and then proceed to Bacchdau. At noon, the programme will begin at the sports ground of the Government Senior Secondary School in Bacchdau. From noon to 1 p.m., foundation stones will be laid, and development works will be inaugurated across various districts of the Jodhpur division, followed by a public meeting.
From 1 pm to 2 pm, an interaction with party workers from Jaisalmer, Barmer and Balotra districts is scheduled at the same venue. At 2 pm, the delegation will leave Bacchdau and proceed to Sumerpur in Pali district. It is scheduled to arrive at the Sumerpur helipad at 3 pm and reach the Town Hall at 3:10 pm. From 3:10 pm to 5:10 pm, an interaction with party workers from Pali, Jalore and Sirohi districts will be held at the Town Hall, Sumerpur.
The delegation will then leave Sumerpur at 5:10 p.m. and proceed to Jodhpur. It is scheduled to reach Jodhpur Airport at 5:55 p.m. and then proceed to the Marwar International Centre. From 6:10 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., an interaction with party workers from Jodhpur and Phalodi districts will be held at the Marwar International Centre.
The visit will conclude with departure from Jodhpur Airport at 7:55 p.m. His arrival at Jaipur Airport is scheduled for 8:40 p.m. The Chief Minister's visit is being viewed as the BJP's bugle call for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections.
Through a single public meeting, the CM will convey a direct message to rural voters across the Barmer, Chauhtan, Gudamalani, Shiv, and Baytu assembly constituencies. The government intends to strengthen its vision among voters in the new Panchayat Samitis.
By laying foundation stones for projects announced in the budget, the CM aims to reassure voters in villages and hamlets that government schemes are being effectively implemented on the ground.
